The Seacology Foundation together with the Cottonwood Foundation and Goldman Foundation supported the Ecological Mangrove Rehabilitation project in the village of Tiwoho, North Sulawesi from 2004 to 2006. This rehabilitation activity has successfully restored mangrove forests from abandoned shrimp ponds covering an area of 20 hectares. This project is also supported by the Kelola Foundation and Sam Ratulangi University.
From 2002 to 2005, the Seacology Foundation supported the Coastal Community Center project by developing community learning and livelihood centers in Manado – North Sulawesi, Asahan – North Sumatra and Segara Anakan – Central Java.
