Jajang founded Mangrove Action Project Indonesia, and worked with Ben to transform into Blue Forests in 2004. Jajang’s interest in environmental preservation has been recognized since he was in high school by participating in several environmental organizations. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Archeology at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and earned a Master degree at the same university. Jajang then worked as a lecturer and researcher at UGM.
Jajang has involved in many research, training and community development projects in various parts of Indonesia. In addition to being an Advisor at Blue Forests, Jajang also established a bamboo construction business unit as an environmental friendly material.
