Wahyudin graduated from Faculty of Law, Hasanuddin University. During his college years, Opu wrote a lot for local magazines and was also actively involved as a Community Facilitator in the Tanakeke coastal community empowerment project, South Sulawesi. Since 2015, Opu has officially joined Blue Forests as a Social Economic Field Staff in the USAID-LESTARI program for placement in Asmat Regency, Papua. In 2017, Opu was appointed as Mangrove Co-management Coordinator for activities in Asmat. Currently, Opu serves as a Governance specialist and Site Coordinator for a project in Indragiri Hilir, Riau. Opu also assists the Blue Forest knowledge team in producing content and publication materials.
