While still studying at the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Science, Hasanuddin University, Yusran has joined as a volunteer at the Indonesian Marine Conservation Foundation. After graduating, Yusran became the Manager of the Research and Development Division there and was finally trusted to become the Executive Director. At the same time, Yusran is also a consultant for WWF Indonesia. In 2010, Yusran joined MAP Indonesia as a Senior Environmental Project Officer and implemented a 400 ha mangrove rehabilitation program in the Tanakeke Islands. Yusran was trusted to lead Blue Forests from 2015 – 2018. During his time, Yusran managed to manage various ecological assessment and mangrove restoration programs. Since 2018 until now, Yusran has been responsible as an Environmental Technical Advisor.
